ICPG, a division of Impact Plastics, is searching for qualified individuals to fill openings for several Extrusion Operator positions at our Hamlet, NC facility. Extrusion Operators must be efficient while maintaining production standards as established in the employee handbook, quality manual, and our customer-defined job specifications. The Extrusion Operator must follow all work instructions and are accountable for safety, quality and output. Operators will report to the Shift Supervisor.

Responsibilities
- SAFETY is our number one priority. Extrusion Operators must act immediately to prevent and correct unsafe operating conditions
- Ensure quality product is produced to the agreed-upon customer specifications
- Work closely with the Extrusion Helper, directing daily line activity
- Review schedule and individual orders before start of each shift for job instructions
- Assure the general, special and packaging instructions for each customer order are accurately followed
- Assure work area cleanliness is maintained
- Clean filters and change sheet slitting blades under work instructions to minimize dust contamination
- Set up extruder in compliance with established job sheet and good manufacturing practices
- Generate production run sheets for each job
- Constantly monitor raw material (color, additive and base resin) during production runs
- Monitor quality and take appropriate corrective actions to rectify sheet defects
- Maintain production records to define set-up accurately and to identify run and scrap numbers correctly for the determination of precise production rates
Requirements
- Manufacturing experience highly desired. Extrusion history, particularly with multi-layer coextrusion are a plus.
- High School Diploma with a technical education preferred
- Math and reading skills
- Ability to use and read tape measures, micrometers and calipers
- Ability to lift over 50 lbs
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, day or nights
- Computer skills
- Good communication skills
- Punctuality and attendance
- Great attitude and willingness to follow directions
