Quality Technician

ICPG, a division of Impact Plastics, is seeking to fill two open Quality Technician positions at our Hamlet, NC facility.

In this key Quality Technician position, the chosen candidate will be responsible for accurate performance and communication of all laboratory tests to determine quality and verify finished product meets quality specifications and requirements of the customer, ICPG/Impact Plastics, and regulatory requirements. You will also maintain and calibrate lab equipment to ensure accuracy of testing as well as make recommendations to line and quality improvements.

Compensation: $14.00 – $16.00 / hour

Hours: Open positions are for alternating 12-hour shifts. This position is full-time and normal hours are Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM and 6:00PM – 6:00 AM plus overtime as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and test retain samples.
  • Verify production schedule matches setup sheets for each line.
  • Verify all raw materials are correct and match the Setup Sheets.
  • Follow general inspection guidelines to perform visual, quantitative, and functional testing on all types of products in accordance with the product standard manual.
  • Make sound decisions regarding the acceptance of product, based on written procedures and established limit samples.
  • Accurately document all inspection and test results in accordance with ISO standards.
  • Hold and disposition product based on the results of quality testing.
  • Ensure that all test equipment has a current calibration sticker.
  • Work effectively with all departments to meet and exceed internal and external expectations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • 6 months of experience working in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently.
  • Must be able to follow instructions.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time in an environment with hot and cold temperatures.
  • Must be able to work with changing noise levels.
  • Must be able to work in a position with repetitive duties during an entire workday.
